Managing Location Privacy

Sociera allows you to control how your location is shared with others.

1. Accessing Location Settings

• Open the Sociera app.

• Tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner.

• Go to Settings > Location Settings.

2. Adjusting Location Sharing

• Allow Location – Enables location sharing for discovering nearby professionals.

• Ghost Mode – Hides your location from others. When enabled, you will not see other users' locations either.

• Precise Location – Shares your exact location, but only when both users connect and opt-in.

3. Disabling Location Access

To turn off location sharing completely:

• Open Settings > Location Settings in Sociera.

• Toggle off Allow Location.

• If needed, go to your device settings and revoke Sociera’s location access.

Tips for Managing Location Privacy

• Enable Ghost Mode if you want to stay private but note that you won’t see other users’ locations.

• Use Precise Location only when necessary for more accurate connections.

• Review your location settings before networking events to manage your visibility.

• Turn off location access from device settings if you don’t want Sociera to track your location at all.
